Cameroon-based solar home system provider upOwa closed a €2.5m ($2.8m) series A2 funding round in December. Existing investors also participated, including off-grid-specialised private equity company Persistent, French impact investor Gaia Impact Fund and venture capital company Inco. Crowd-funded equity was also raised through LITA.co.
