Charges filed against SNC-Lavalin

In late January, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police filed criminal charges against two former SNC-Lavalin executives. Former vice-president Stephane Roy was charged with fraud, bribing a foreign public official and contravening a United Nations economic measures act related to Libya. Former executive vice-president Sami Abdallah Bebawi (whose whereabouts are unknown) was charged with fraud, two counts of laundering the proceeds of a crime, four counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and one count of bribing a foreign public official.
