Cross-border Information is owned by its senior management who also lead the company’s research projects. For decades, CbI staff have monitored and travelled to their regions of focus, taking time and care to build up a network of reliable sources who provide local knowledge and discreet source enquiries.
We have a strong network of local associates many of whom we have worked with for decades and who have delivered key insights to dozens of clients over this time. We are proud of these relationships which help us to understand the culture and dynamics of local markets on behalf of our clients, ensuring that we can communicate the underlying commercial and political realities.
Jon is the chairman and founder of Cross-border Information. He is a political scientist with a deep knowledge of the politics and economies of Africa and the Middle East, based on more than 30 years of travel, study and curiosity about the post-colonial world.
John Hamilton is Managing Director of CbI, where he plays a key role in the company’s business development and strategy while also ensuring clients are provided with high-quality quantitative and qualitative research.
Eleanor plays a lead role in the development and management of CbI’s special research and due diligence capabilities - particularly the development of local research capacity in the Middle East and Africa - and in the editorial direction of Gulf States News (GSN).
Nick is CbI's Chief Operating Officer, playing a key role in developing new products and services, as well as in the strategic management of the company.
Ajay joined CbI in March 2017 as a research analyst and has contributed to a number of consultancy reports, specialising in energy supply and demand modelling.
